ENGINEER DAVE AT IT AGAIN!!!!
You might have heard me say on the air all the things that our engineer, Dave does to my Steven Tyler desktop wallpaper in the studio and my office. Usually, it's praying hands, fields of flowers, etc. This time he was very CLEVER!!! I went into the studio, brought my desktop up and this is what I found!!! At first it freaked me out! I was thinking, "how did the PERVERT get there?". Then, a lightening bolt
- microsoft word and DAVE!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you to eveyone who came to our Pool Party at Laughlin Ranch Saturday night! Have a happy night.

Happy Friday! Last night I had fun scooping ice cream at Baskin Robbins....I love the girls that work there! Hi Kayla and Ruby!!! This week went by soooo fast! Tomorrow night is our next Pool Party at Laughlin Ranch! Right now, that is my favorite thing! Why? Not only is it fun, but I get to actually hang and chat with YOU!!! Sunday, I'm going to chill, if you call laundry and house cleaning chilling....! I need to SHOP! I'm having shopping withdrawals!!! I've been so busy that when I have a free Saturday or Sunday, I'm just plain lazy! I don't want to get dressed, do my hair, make up, etc., and I have NEVER gone out without doing that all that jazz! So...I have to shop on the internet! I hope you have a safe, happy weekend and I hope to see you at the Pool Party!

Ciao!

Hi!!! I have been very bad! I've been so busy that I haven't had time to blog. Hey! If you went to our last pool party at Laughlin Ranch, or you just want to see pictures from it, go to our MySpace page:

http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=40042483

There is a slide show. I will be there this week, but not the next pool party in two weeks. Hope to see you there this Saturday at 7:00pm. I take sucky pictures most of the time! I HATE pictures of myself, but there are a lot of them on the slide show. If you had your pic taken with me, it'll be there! Go look for yourself!

I can't freakin' believe how fast this week is going! The last three weeks have flown by! Here is another picture from our pool party at Laughlin Ranch. Holly is the dancer in gold. She did belly dancing, and other different kinds of dancing. I loved watching her! This picture is funny. I'm being silly, and everyone is laughing, and Holly is posing beautifully, oblivious to it all! That's Randall with the glasses behind me.

Anton from the Aquarius was in the studio with me today, and we gave away a pair of tickets to see KID ROCK! The tickets aren't even on sale yet. Congrats to Gil for winning the very first pair of Kid Rock tickets! He's the only person who can say he has a pair! I want to see Kid...just hope Tommy Lee isn't anywhere in sight!

Where did my three day weekend go? I guess the 4th made it go by faster, not to mention all the shopping and house cleaning I did on Saturday, then I had the most fun on Sunday finishing up house cleaning and changing my sheet - not! I wanted one day to lay on my bed all day and watch all my recorded TV shows! I hope you had a nice weekend. I can't wait until this weekend, because we have our second Pool Party at Laughlin Ranch! If you didn't make it last time, I'd love it if you can come this time, and if you did come last time, I'd love it if you come again! I had way too much fun at the last pool party!

Have a happy, safe new week!

I hope you have a safe and happy 4th of July! It's all good to have fun and get a little crazy, but just remember to be safe, and if you're drinking, please don't drive!

Wow! Can you believe it? This is a new picture! The other ones are OLD! this was actually taken today right before I went on the air. See the glarey picture in the background behind my back? It's a picture of Aerosmith! I didn't realize it would be in the picture!

I just got off the air, and I'm afraid to get inside my car! It's been so HOT that everything in the car is on fire! Those things you put on the windshield don't work! First time caller, Mervin called me today to say he could solve my super hot stickshift situation...put a beer cooler thing on it! Great idea!

Keep cool!

July 2, 1776. Congress adopts the Declaration of Independence. Two days later Congress approves the revised version and orders it to be printed and distributed to the states and military officers.

The following year, no member of Congress thought about commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence until July 3 - one day too late. So the first organized elaborate celebration of independence occurred the following day: July 4, 1777, in Philadelphia. Ships in the harbor were decked in the nation's colors. Cannons rained 13-gun salutes in honor of each state. And parades and fireworks spiced up the festivities.

That's Congress for you, huh? Well regardless of their lack of foresight, the celebration of our independence is still a worthy holiday. No matter what your political views are, you should embrace this day with open arms, because without it, you would not be able to have whatever views and beliefs you so choose.

And no matter what your opinion of the current war is, while you're grilling or watching fireworks, just remember that if it wasn't for soldiers, people brave enough to sacrifice themselves for the ideals of our country, we would not have the freedoms we too often take for granted.

Make sure to tune in to Lucky 98 on Friday the 4th at 9:00 PM. We'll have patriotic music synced with the fireworks show! And this year the show will be extra long - a full 40 minutes of fireworks!

Happy Wednesday!

It's almost time for the Lucky 98 Pool Party at Laughlin Ranch. Remember, this Saturday night! Star and I will be out there, and we hope you'll join us! We're going to be giving away lots of great prizes, and with the temps as high as they've been, I'm expecting to see a lot of people swimming, so remember your bathing suit! But if you forget it, or choose not to bring it, don't worry, you can just hang out with us and have a great time!

What better way to beat the brutal heat than with cheap drinks, a nice pool, and Lucky 98! We'll be looking for you this Saturday night at Laughlin Ranch!

Monday, June 16, 2008

Somebody has a case of the Mondays! Ok, I can't lie, it's me. Didn't even do anything fantastic this weekend, but when I woke up this morning, I did not want to get out of bed!

And a little word of advice. If you want to sleep well, do not watch 12 episodes of Heroes all in a row! All night my dreams were about my alarm clock being the bomb that destroys half the city, and I had to try and figure out a way to stop it before it went off! Maybe that's why I didn't want to get out of bed!

You planning on coming out the the Lucky 98 Pool Party at Laughlin Ranch this Saturday? You better! Both Star and I will be there, and this is your chance to party with us while lounging in the pool or hot tub. Gotta beat this summer heat somehow, right!? Plus there's gonna be lots of prizes given away, the restaurant will be open (killer food!), and the best part... Cheap drinks!! We'll be there from 7:00 to 10:00 PM Saturday, and would love to hang out with you! If you don't want to go swimming, no problem, just lounge back and enjoy the good times! Hope to see you there!

Don't let Monday get you down, it's almost over!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!

All you dads out there, enjoy your day! Try to stay cool, because it's going to get hotter by then! Well, we do have the river and the lake, so...go jump in!

Speaking of water, check out our home page. Scroll down until you see the swimming pool.....Randall and I get to party with you next Saturday night at Laughlin Ranch! It hurts to type with the hand I had surgery with, so I am signing off now.

Have a safe, happy weekend!

Friday!
Friday!
Friday!

And it's Friday the 13th! Ohhh scary! Studies have shown that Friday the 13th is usually a safer day because so many people are superstitious and drive and act in a more careful manner. But just to be safe... be careful out there!

I hope you have a great Father's Day! If you're not a father, then make sure to call yours and show some love!

It's Thursday! Yesterday's weather was pretty nice actually, and today should be fairly decent. Always nice to get a break from the heat. Especially when we had such a beautiful winter.

I'm gonna rant a little now! There is just something bothering me. Everywhere you look, whether it's a newspaper, internet, or television, there's a story about the high gas prices. Yes, they're high and rising still. Yes, it hurts the wallet.

I was working at a service station about 5 years ago, and I had an English customer that really opened my eyes. This is when gas prices were around $1.50 to $1.75 a gallon, and people where complaining about the "high" prices then. He said, "Look at what you drive! Americans drive the biggest most gas guzzling vehicles out of any country. In England gas is equal to five American dollars a gallon. That's why we all drive tiny cars." And that was 5 years ago. Now, England's gas prices equate to roughly $6 a gallon.

We want someone to blame. We put blame on George Bush. We put blame on middle east countries. We put blame on OPEC. We put blame on auto makers. But no one puts any blame on themselves! Whatever happened to being responsible for your own actions?

If we as Americans really want to lower the gas prices, it all comes down to supply and demand. If we boycott the use of gasoline, that will drive the demand down, while the supply rises. Anyone that knows anything about economics will know that causes prices to drop. I know, how do we boycott the use of gas? If you live in a large town and have to commute an hour to work, chances are you're not going to ride a bicycle instead of drive. But we really need to start focusing on carpools, public transportation, and any other viable means to drop demand of gas.

If we do nothing to change, nothing will change! We will just continue to complain and place blame anywhere we can, while paying more and more. What's the old saying? If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

AREN'T THEY CUUUUUTE?

Happy Wednesday! Finally, I remembered to post a picture of my two babies. Cinnamon is on the left, and Shiloh is the blob of fur on the right! Cinnie is 9 months old, and Shi is 9 weeks old! They LOVE each other! They are always together! They play together nap together, eat together and like in the picture, just kick back together! They are sitting on one of their most favorite place to hang....an air conditioning vent! Cinnamon lets Shiloh have anything he wants. If Cinnamon is playing with a toy, and Little Mr. Bossy wants it, he lets him have it, if he starts to eat Cinnamon's food, Cinnie lets him have it, etc. What a sweet boy, huh? I just love them so much!
Keep it tuned to Lucky 98 for a bunch of cool things coming up for the summer!

It's Friday!! Maybe it's just me, I don't know, but does it seem like the days are blending in to one? With Summer approaching and the temps rising, I think that might be the reason. We haven't had it yet this year, but when the temps don't drop below 100 even during the night, the days kinda melt together, literally!

Today is the last day to enter the Harrah's Star Concert Giveaway! If you hear B.B. King, Journey, or Chicago playing on Lucky 98, all you have to do to enter is click the link on the homepage, fill out the form, and sit back and hope you're lucky! Star will be announcing the winners today after the Drive@5, so this is it!

Have a safe and happy weekend!

Happy Friday! I'm looking forward to spending some extra time on the weekend with my two puppies! I still have to post a picture of my new baby for you to see! They are already best friends...soooo cute!

On a different note, here's some music news for you. Steven Tyler issued a statement that he is in rehab for problems he's had with his foot. He is such an incredible performer, and I guess it took it's toll on his foot, just like it did his knee a couple years ago, and his voice last year. I'm so happy it's not for drugs. He's been sober since 1986. He said, ""Make no mistake, Aerosmith has no plans to stop rocking. There's a new album to record, then another tour."

Van Halen guitarist Eddie Van Halen says he and his bandmates are considering hitting the studio after their current comeback tour ends. COOL! That means we'll have two new albums to look forward to! Here's something cool. You can watch behind-the-scenes video of Eddie, B.B. King (whose coming to Laughlin!) and others during the cover shoot for Rolling Stone magazine's "100 Greatest Guitar Songs of All Time" issue here.

Have a great weekend!

Short weeks, while nice, can really screw you up! I know that today is Thursday, but my brain keeps going back and forth between thinking it's either Wednesday or Friday. So for part of the day I'm thinking, "Alright, weekend tomorrow!" Then I think, "Wait a minute, it's only Wednesday, noooo!"

Alas, it is Thursday, so I guess that's a happy medium between the two, right?

Alright, you're on the site. You're looking around. But have you taken the 98 Feedback poll yet? If the answer is no, then what are you waiting for? It's super easy, it's free, and your opinion does matter to us! So take the poll and let us know what you think!

Happy Wednesday to you! Half way through the week, and now that the temps are back down to normal for this time of year, the rest of the week should be great! I'm not quite ready for the brutal heat yet! But since the temps came down, of course the wind has to start up again. I miss the perfect weather we were having, it's too short lived!

So watch out for the wind today, we don't need you getting blown away! Have a great day out there and I'll talk at you more tomorrow!
